New images reveal FBI: Most Wanted will have another crossover with FBI's Alana De La Garza. Viewers won't have to wait long for the crossover to air as De la Garza will appear in season 6, episode 2 "Varsity Blues." De La Garza has previously appeared in many episodes of FBI: Most Wanted as Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille. The new episode, which will air on October 22, will mark the actor's 13th appearance on the spinoff show.
The first-look images reveal Isobel joining the Fugitive Task Force to help them hunt down a missing teen from New Jersey. The images include Isobel with the Fugitive Task Force and Remy Scott appearing suspicious while looking through the trunk of a car. Executive producer David Hudgins tells TV Insider he enjoys bringing De La Garza in for crossovers. With characters in the FBI franchise working "in the same building," they like to do this "every chance we can." The EP also revealed they are working on "some crossover" with "the Nina story." Check out his quote and images below:
That is one of the great things about the FBI world is that we can do that. And I love Alana, who I've actually worked with before. We did a pilot together before she was on FBI. She's great. So every chance we can, we want to bring her in, and we want to make her feel like — in my head, these people all work in the same building. They do work in the same building. And so it's very easy and seamless to have her come in and she's always great.
And so between that and the setup we have now with Nina being on our show, but also dating Scola, who's on the other show, we've got some crossover there coming as well in the Nina story. So I just think it's kind of unique about these franchises that we have the ability to do that and it works well within the conceit of the show because they are all right there.
What Isobel's Upcoming Crossover Means For FBI: Most Wanted
It Won't Be The Last Time Viewers See Her
FBI and FBI: Most Wanted offer a great opportunity for mini-crossovers. As Hudgins notes, with two characters from both shows co-parenting and people working in the same building, it makes sense to bring in characters from one show to another. Isobel's guest appearance confirms that she'll be back on the show in future episodes. Her regular presence in the series ultimately makes the franchise feel richer and is something viewers want to see.

Viewers will likely see more of her in FBI: Most Wanted. Her crossovers also pave the way for more possibilities to come in FBI: Most Wanted season 6. According to Hudgins' comment, it seems that they are having fun with these mini-crossovers and are currently working on combining more characters and storylines in both shows. With Nina (Shantel VanSanten) and Scola (John Boyd) also having an ongoing storyline about being new parents, there will be crossovers between that pair as well.
Our Take On FBI and FBI: Most Wanted Crossovers
We're Getting Excited About The New Season
One of the best things about Dick Wolf's universe is its interactivity and connections between three standalone shows. All part of the One Chicago universe, the shows regularly interact with each other. Every crossover is a highlight that sparks new developments and helps keep viewers invested in the entire universe, instead of sticking to just one series. However, this also poses a challenge for those who are new to FBI franchise and may find jumping into an interconnected universe daunting. With more crossovers coming up in FBI: Most Wanted, both Isobel's and Nina's arcs are something to look forward to.
