There it is, anyone can clearly see the circle on a calendar signifying a very special date. For one person this means something completely different than what other people believe this to mean. Others see Graduation from high school, but to her - this is the beginning of a life she has dreamed about for a long, long time.

Graduation day for Stevie (real name Stephanie) marks the end of being known as “just a kid” to a grown woman. A woman about to go off to school, watching as her best friend and her BFF’s father go through a horrible trial, and a promise to herself. She will take her time, play the cards she needs to and then when all the cards are being shown - she wins her prize..Him.

He has the world on his side; a happy marriage, a wonderful daughter, and he is the chef at his very own restaurant that is booming. Then, in the blink of an eye, it is all ripped apart. His wife leaves him and runs off with someone else. What is worse is his daughter endures being completely left behind from her mother when she left. His restaurant begins to fail, because the one who used to help him run his restaurant has left too, you’ll never guess with who.

Now three years have flown by. Stevie is a college graduate, yes a chef. Michael is still stuck in the past with a barely there restaurant. An interview was scheduled by his daughter, he reads over the resume - stunned at who it is. Against his better judgement and arguments, Stevie is now once again back in the picture, only this time she isn’t that little girl coming over to hang out with his daughter...no, she is all woman.

A trial run proves to be a huge failure, but there is a perfectly logical and understandable reason. It is based off of who created the menu. It is no longer able to be done. Stevie has a plan, and is given a one month time frame to shape things up. She sets herself into motion, to help the restaurant and to help Michael. There is no stopping them and what she saved for just him has been claimed. There are also guilty feelings, a harsh statement on where this might lead and mixed emotions on both sides.

Things lead forward, and all of it seems to be moving along rather smoothly. A well known fact is just when you think things are going well, there will always be something to come and tear it apart. A nasty review, a secret found out, and someone leaving to try to rectify things before it gets worse. Days turn into weeks, weeks into months...finally the secret is found out. The secret also shared in passing. That secret causes questions and finally it leads to facing their fears and reuniting. It also leads to a bit of hiding the full truth and hurt feelings, however the full
truth being shared and from that point it leads finally leads to their happy ever after.

Many of us had crushes on older men (or women) during our teens. Few fulfill the fantasy that most grow out of. Here Stevie lives out that crush but the expense may be too high. Michael fights it and several relationships are tested. Lives are turned upside down. Of course, the flipside is that the steamy fun times give a whole new meaning to it being hot in the kitchen!

Stevie has had a crush on her best friend’s dad for a while. While working at Michael’s restaurant sparks fly between them. What will happen when Stevie learns she is pregnant. Fast-paced read with lots of steam and plenty of drama. I liked this older man/younger woman read.

This was such a good story! Not only was it off the charts HAWT but the story was well thought out and flowed nicely.

Michael and Stevie were the perfect blend of naughty and nice and I was instantly rooting for them :)

I loved that Stevie was young (21) but not immature, she was confident in herself and knew what she wanted. Luckily for Michael, he was it for her.

Michael on the other hand was a bit confused as to what he wanted - after the huge betrayal of his wife and best friend, he isn't immediately emotionally available but again I loved that he wasn't a total asshat about it. He has to get over some personal baggage before things settle but the story was great.

It's hard to find a good story with some sexy erotica mixed in but this author did it well. Highly recommend! Wonder is we'll get Andy and Brooke's story next :)

This forbidden romance was a bit sweet with Michael trying to keep his famous restaurant solvent after the betrayal of his head chef and now ex-wife.
His life in shambles as he tried to regain the momentum lost by Theo and Virginia. His beloved daughter Brooke, also traumatized by her mother's betrayal was fully supportive of Michael and encouraged her best friend Stevie to apply for the vacant position.
Stevie had always cared for Michael in an adult way, but was respectful of his marriage and her friendship with Brooke. Her goals were met to graduate from culinary school to one day work with Michael.
I liked the way Stevie, despite her young age was mature and totally capable for the job. Her fresh ideas and strong assertive personality was perfect for his kitchen.
This was more than a taboo romance as the author took the time to develop the characters and their budding romance.
Many graphic scenes filled with heat and chemistry.

Best Friend's Daddy
Victoria Snow
Stevie has been in love with Michael since she was it 16. She went to culinary school and wait until she graduated to put her plan in motion. She seduced him and ended up pregnant, but his daughter is her best friend. How will she tell her that she's pregnant with her dad's child?

It was a little wrong. But it was still cute and sweet. I really enjoyed the book. I love the characters interaction with each other. I love the ending. It was about the father falling in love with the daughter's best friend. That is a little wrong. But I would push though that because it was a great read. I would to read it if you love romance.

This was an enjoyable read. Michael is the father of Stevie's best friend and owner of a restaurant. Stevie has just graduated from culinary school. Of course she wants to work for Michael and of course he hires her. They start out as just two adults having some fun but things get more complicated. Thankfully in the end it all works out.

Overview: A fresh new take on a trope that a lot f people have done badly. The author infuses this story that we've all read before with a much needed does of modernity and realism while still keeping it fun, interesting and romantic. I definitely recommend this book if you like this genre.

Concept: 3.5 Stars
Normally I would give a book about being in love with your best friends father since you were old enough to have a crush on someone a 2, because I've read several books where that is t he concept and they're usually predictable or too like each other and trope-ish. This book is a little bit different though. It's not the same as all the others and has a little bit more meat on its bones than the typical best friends father love story fare. So I gave it a 3.5 because while it isn't exactly the same, for reasons I'll go into further on in my review it's not so radically new and different from them that I'd call it a 4 star concept. It's different enough that it's good, enough that it's not boring to read because you don't feel like you've read this same story before with different people who had different names and slightly different lives, circ*mstances etc. So 3.5 stars.

Writing: 4 Stars
The writing is done well, so there's not complaints from me on this front for sure. Sometimes I get so tired of reading books that don't feel like real books, books that very obviously haven't been edited where the 'authors' don't have a clue as to what they're doing or what they should be doing. Amazon is drowning in these kinds of shoddily written, half co*cked, unedited, completely unprofessional stories anymore and I am SO glad to find this book was most definitely not like that. There's nothing worse than reading a story that had potential that wasn't lived up to, so I am glad this author is an author. She knows what she's doing, the writing is well done, it moves the story along in a way that isn't obvious and tells the tale effortlessly. This is what a romance novel should be.

Character Development: 4 Stars
Well rounded characters who were their own people, not a lot of tropes used and they were interesting, flawed and human to boot. Again, no complaints from me here. The author does her job wonderfully well here in creating characters that feel like real people who could be walking around in the world. When they're talking about cooking, you can feel Stevie's passion for it in everything she does, everything she says and even in the things she doesn't say or do, it's just there, it's real, you can feel it. I like that in character, a sense of reality, of this being a person with hopes, dreams, goals, challenges, issues, problems, worries, fears, loves and all the things that make us human.

Hero: .4 Stars
He was what I like to think of as a 'Modern Alpha Male' meaning that he wasn't a caveman, but he was still an alpha male character. A huge peeve of mine is when an author is trying to go for an alpha but really she's describing your old neighbor who used to scream a lot, and smack his wife around, you know, the kind of guy who goes out of his way to let everyone know how much of a man he is but really he's not much of a man at all and doesn't give a darn about anyone but himself, thinks women are weak and doesn't respect them. Don't get me wrong, I read some dark books, and a well done anti-hero has his place, definitely, but it has to be done well and I've noticed a lot of books lately where it's done super badly. Not our hero here though, no, he respects Stevie in every way, but there is still that sexual dynamic between there where he takes charge, it's a subtle power exchange that feels more real than the typical macho jerk guy a lot of people write these days. He was in charge because that's just who he is, he didn't take advantage of it or use it to put others down or rub their face in the fact that he owned this mega successful restaurant or anything.

Heroine: 5 Stars
I absolutely loved everything about Stevie, she's one of the most fun, interesting female characters I've read in a romance in a while. She was assertive, direct, funny, fun, decisive, hard working, tenacious and about 40 others things I'm not going to list. She's very in control of her life, knows what she wants and sets about working towards getting it. She doesn't back down but isn't rigid and can bend when it's necessary because he plan took a turn she wasn't expecting. She goes with the flow while somehow making the current work for her not against her. While she's very in charge of herself and her life she also wants to give up that control under the right circ*mstances. A great change from the typical meek, easily lead female characters that are usually in these books. There was nothing mousy about Stevie, nothing girl like, no strange child like quality that inspired an older man to take care of her because she can't take care of herself. Stevie can take care of herself very well, she's a grown woman not a child in a grown womans body, and that was refreshing.

Secondary Characters: 4 Stars
All the characters in this book were well done, even the secondary ones. I think the author has a knack for writing good characters, it definitely feels like one of her strong suites.

Plot: 3.5 Stars
This plot wasn't exactly the same as in other books of its kind, but it was close enough that it wasn't something super new or different. You definitely knew where it was going. The best part about the plot was that it was done well, she executed it very well and that's somewhat of a new or different thing here because as I said before a lot of the characters in these types of books are the same, but these characters weren't remotely like that. So that's what was new and different about it. It felt more realistic somehow even though it was still a story and the characters were more well done in my opinion so that is what took this from a 2 star plot which is what I've rated a lot of the other books of this type to an almost 4 star plot.

Pacing: 4 Stars
Again, very professionally and well done. It didn't feel rushed or slow, it went at a very normal speed that made it feel more realistic. It wasn't insta-love-ish and felt very much like you were witnessing this happen in real time.

Chemistry: 4 Stars
The chemistry was good, at times I didn't feel it but when I did feel it it was electric, which is why I chose to give this 4 stars instead of 3.

Cover Art: 2 Stars
I don't like the modern bodice ripper style of cover, but that's a personal preference. I see a lot of covers of this type, they're very popular now and that's fine, as long as the description and the sample is good I'll read it. I don't judge a book by its cover, so I'm not less likely to pick it up. I'm just less likely to like the cover.

Rating: There is some sex but it's not overly graphic and it doesn't include stupid phrases that no one would ever utter even if their life depended on it in the intimate scenes (yep, another pet peeve of mine lol Let's leave all the love wands in the 80's and all the eff sticks and holes to the p*rn industry please) so that's a plus if you don't like stupid dirty talk that sounds forced or ridiculous like me. It's nothing over the top, but it's well done and it does get steamy, so if that's a problem for you then be aware that there are intimate scenes in this book.

I received a free ARC of this book from the author via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This is the third story in the Forever Daddy series. They are not connected, nor do they need to be read in order. They are totally stand alone books.

I really loved this story with how Stevie is determined to have her way. She knew that she wanted Michael since she was 16 years old. She has known him forever because her best friend, Brooke, is Michael's daughter. She was there when their life exploded when Michael's wife was caught sleeping with the Chef that worked at their restaurant. Theo was like Michael's little brother and to stab him in the back, let alone how his ex never admitted that she did anything wrong, even when that broke Michael and Brooke's heart. Stevie learned her love of cooking by being taught how to cook by Michael. So when she graduated high school, she went to culinary school. Three years later, she graduates that, at the top of her class of course, and takes the next step in her plan. She gets a job at Michael's restaurant and drags it into the present with a new menu of her own, and brings it into profit for the first time in years. She forces him to give her the job and she promises that in one month she will have it in profit or she will leave.

Her next step is to seduce Michael. As much as he wants to fight it, she wins.

Michael has been going through the motions since he caught his prodigy and his wife in bed together. He got the Michelin rating with Theo's menu, so he has kept it the same. Unfortunately, there isn't any chef that can create his recipes because they were so complicated and he had to micromanage every step. He has a good relationship with his daughter, Brooke, since they were both survivors of the disaster. She still lives at home and works at the restaurant. When Stevie comes in for a job interview, he notices that she isn't a teenager any more. She is a full blown adult, and boy does he like what he sees. He has missed her cussy mouth and straight forwardness. She calls em like she sees em and doesn't hold any punches. She proves that her recipes are not only good, but easy to make and to use local produce from the farmers market. He just can't keep his hands off her. Then he spews out this lie about not wanting to be in any relationships.

3.5 stars, rounding down

Don’t judge me for really liking this book, okay! 😂 I couldn’t resist when I saw it on KU, and it was much better than I expected!

Stevie has always had a crush on Michael, her best friend Brooke’s dad. In the prologue, which is their graduation day, we find out he’s single because his wife cheated on him with his protégé, and Stevie is ready to make a move so that Michael realizes she's ~all grown up~. But it’s very obvious that he has zero interest in her and only thinks of her as his daughter’s friend and someone he really likes as a person--but not in a sexual way at all.

I was very relieved the book jumps forward three years to after Stevie finishes culinary school. There is still a big age difference that will weird a lot of people out, but even Michael is surprised that he’s attracted to her when he sees her again for the first time since her graduation. But the attraction grows in part because of her drive and determination to turn his ailing restaurant back around and make it successful again. So there's a bit of competence p*rn to this, I think.

The employer/employee dynamic usually bothers me, but here I felt like they were partners even though I knew they technically weren’t. As his head chef who brings in fresh ideas and a new menu, Michael places a lot of trust in Stevie and her abilities, even though she’s fresh out of school. It felt like a joint venture because he really needs her, and when they do get into a fight and Michael puts his foot down about something, Stevie doesn’t take it lying down.

Of course the blurb gives away the pregnancy subplot, and I was so mad they didn’t use condoms EVER. Not even like, "oops it broke"! They didn’t even discuss birth control, and I find that really irresponsible. I think there are better ways to work in a surprise pregnancy than total disregard for the topic, and that’s one reason why I’ve marked down the rating a bit. Plus Stevie was a virgin because she only ever wanted him and there's something about the virginity added to the age difference that was... not my favorite. Having said that, this book was so smutty (that’s not an insult coming from me). The sex is hot!

I also like that the book places a lot of emphasis on the importance of Stevie’s friendship with Brooke. Who, by the way, better get her own book with Stevie’s brother, Andy? 👀

I really enjoyed this book, even though I found some of it unrealistic. Michael is a divorced man who has a failing restaurant, thanks to his ex-wife and ex-chef. When Stevie, his daughter's best friend comes back to town and wants a job as his chef, he gives her one month to show what she can do. He finds her attractive and doesn't understand why he can't stop thinking about her, he hasn't been interested in three years, but now he can't stop thinking about her. She has secretly been in love with him for years, but would never acknowledge it because he was married. Now, the gloves are off and she can let her feelings known.
The chemistry between the two was hot, but I had a hard time accepting that Micael would fall into with his daughter's best friend after all these years. Yes, people can change and do change, but with twenty years between them and keeping it a secret at first, something just didn't connect for me. I did like how he realized the depth of his feelings after things fell apart. I didn't like how Stevie acted younger than what she wanted to portray when she found out a huge secret (and how she lied about it for quite awhile).
Overall, the book was really good and had great characters. I liked the side characters of Michael's daughter and Stevie's brother. I hope they get a book of their own. I also like how he stepped up and how she finally came clean with her best friend. A good, quick read. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Stevie Lake and Michael Madison. Stevie has been obsessed with Michael since she was in her teens. She used to try and show him back then how she felt. He was oblivious after the devastation his ex-wife and ex-best friend had caused. Part of Stevie is glad he didn't know how she felt back then because now fresh out of culinary school she can really show him what she can not only do for him but his restaurant as well. Michael doesn't think anything will turn things around since his ex best friend and ex wife left the restaurant. Sales are down so are reservation. There is one thing he will never let slip away though and that is his relationship with his daughter. So when she sets up an interview with her father and her best friend he knows he needs to at least hear her out. Will these two find that they are each others answer to HEA in everything or will it be like a badly balanced house of cards and one slight breeze will have it all come crashing down?

This is another amazing story by this author. It does have its ups and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
